The Association for Global Political Thought is an international, interdisciplinary, and intercollegiate project founded in 2021, supported by humanists and social scientists from global institutions. We are excited to announce that our inaugural conference will take place in person, at Harvard University on Friday–Saturday, April 8–9, 2022.

The keynote address is to be delivered by Pratap Bhanu Mehta (Centre for Policy Research, New Delhi; Laurance S. Rockefeller Distinguished Professor at the Center for Human Values, Princeton University), a founding advisor of the Association for Global Political Thought.

We welcome submissions that seek to enrich the study of political, social, and international thought; expand the scopes of political traditions and their languages; interrogate the discipline’s constitutive exclusions and limits of existing methods of inquiry; or address the theoretical and historical foundations of contemporary global political predicaments.

More information about the Association, including examples of work that has been presented in our seminar series, may be found on our website

Submissions are due by Friday January 21st, 2022 at midnight EST and should be sent to globalpoliticalthought@g.harvard.edu. Applicants will receive a response in February 2022.
